Redlands Arts Partnership Program (RAPP)
Redland City Council, through the Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC), is proud to announce the launch of the Redlands Arts Partnership Program (RAPP)—a bold new initiative designed to support and celebrate the region’s vibrant arts community.
RAPP is a tiered partnership model that provides bespoke, ongoing support to artists, arts organisations, and creative projects that engage, inspire, and connect the Redlands Coast community. The program reflects Council’s commitment to fostering a resilient, inclusive, and culturally rich region that reflects the diversity and aspirations of its people.
RAPP offers support through two core tiers of partnership:
- Companies in Residence (CIR)
Long-term partnerships with cultural organisations that work deeply and consistently with the Redlands community across development, performance, and participatory practice. - Program Partners
Redlands-based collectives or emerging companies supported to deliver specific projects or build their long-term sustainability.
Each partnership is tailored to the needs of the organisation, with multi-year agreements typically running through to the end of 2026 and a rolling annual renewal process beginning mid-year.

Companies in Residence
RPAC is proud to be the home to four in-residence ensembles: Redland Sinfonia, Redland City Choir, indelabilityarts and Sing Sing Sing. We value the contribution these great organisations make to our city, and we are pleased to be able to support them and their projects.
Find out more about of each of these organisations below.
RPAC Orchestra in Residence since 2010
Redland Sinfonia is a vibrant community orchestra which has entertained Redlands Coast audiences for almost 40 years. For the past 15 years it has been Orchestra in Residence at RPAC, first performing in the Gallery then moving to the Concert Hall. This move coincided with the appointment of Dr Graeme Denniss as Conductor and Artistic Director, a role in which he led the orchestra with distinction for many years.
In 2025, following Dr Denniss’s retirement, the baton was passed to Nicky Griffith, who now continues the Sinfonia’s proud tradition as Conductor and Artistic Director.
The orchestra performs a season of themed concerts each year at RPAC, with extra concerts and other activities in different venues from time to time.
New members are always welcome. Minimum standard is Grade 7 or equivalent. Rehearsals take place in the RPAC Concert Hall on Tuesday evenings from 7.15pm to 9.30pm, with extra rehearsals before concerts. There may be opportunities to perform solos and play in smaller groups as well.

RPAC Choir in Residence since 2017
The Redland City Choir is an all-age, diverse community group of people who simply love to sing!
The choir initially formed for a one-off community performance at the Redlands Family Easter Festival in 2013. The group loved singing together so much that they asked to continue rehearsing, and performance offers started to roll in.
Since then, the choir has grown and performed at many local events and recorded albums, with profits from sales contributing over $40,000 for victims of domestic and family violence.
The Redland City Choir officially joined the RPAC family in 2017 and is a feature in the annual Redlands White Christmas event.
The Choir has been nominated for Australia Day Awards and was awarded first place in the Redlands Eisteddfod.
In July 2024, the Choir competed at the World Choir Games in Auckland, NZ. The choir, from 8 to nearly 90 years old and including young voices from the Steiner School in Thorneside, achieved remarkable success, earning a Silver Diploma Level Five and securing third place in the Open Pop Choir Section.

RPAC Company in Residence since 2017
indelarts is an inclusive, professional theatre company where artists with disability and neurodivergence take centre stage.
As an RPAC company-in-residence since 2017, indelarts creates original, authentic and compelling theatre that speaks from lived experience. RPAC has supported the development and delivery of the company’s productions Look Mum…No Hands!!!, Love Me; the award-winning children’s show Wilbur the Optical Whale which toured Queensland and the brand-new production Mystery Quest in 2025.
indelarts also runs weekly workshops in acting, film and storytelling, offering a wide range of performing arts skills for community members with neurodivergence and disability. Their care-based practice means leading with kindness and always putting the wellbeing needs of artists and students first.
Look out for an indelarts production on our stage or enquire about their workshops as the company works to challenge assumptions, reset audience perspective, build understanding and provide positive social outcomes.

RPAC Company in Residence since 2024
Sing Sing Sing is a choir for people living with dementia and for their carers. The choir meets each week to
sing, socialise, share stories, build skills and prepare to share the joy of singing with its audiences. We also
perform for an audience a few times a year.
We encourage people with dementia to come along with a partner, a family member or a friend because
singing is a fun thing to do together.
Choir members are supported by enthusiastic volunteer singing buddies who accompany them on their
journey of music-making.
Sing Sing Sing Redlands meets at the RPAC Studio, Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) on Monday
mornings from 10am to 12 noon during public school terms. RPAC is at 2-16 Middle Street, Cleveland,
opposite the Cleveland Police Station and courthouse.
To join the choir or find out more, please contact Sing Sing Sing on 0481 348 552 or email dementiachoirs@gmail.com
