An Evening of Talking Heads
By Alan Bennett
A Play Reading by Theatre Redlands

The Play
Through intimate, self‑revealing monologues, Talking Heads explores isolation, memory, guilt and the stories people tell themselves to survive. Each character speaks alone, but collectively the pieces form a poignant portrait of lives lived on the margins of attention, rendered with Bennett’s signature wit and compassion.

About the Play Reading
This Play Reading, presented by Theatre Redlands, invites audiences into the early creative life of the work. With scripts in hand and minimal staging, a play reading foregrounds language, story and performance, offering a rare opportunity to hear the play and engage with its themes in a raw and immediate form.

Playwright Alan Bennett
Directors Jan Nary and Vanessa Wells
Cast Brad Ashwood and Jean Spencer
