Dance with Queensland Ballet’s Adult and Seniors classes 

Whether you’re discovering ballet for the first time, returning after a break, or looking to continue developing your technique and artistic expression, there’s a Queensland Ballet class for you at RPAC in 2026. 

These adult ballet offerings provide welcoming, supportive opportunities to move, learn and dance in the company of others - with classes designed for different levels of experience, mobility, support and challenge.

Adult Ballet for All Levels of Experience (evening class)

Thu 24 September - Thu 22 October, 6pm | Duration: 1hr & 30minutes

An evening ballet and repertoire class designed for adults and active seniors of all levels of experience, with layered options to support learning and progression. 

Evening Adult Ballet is ideal if you: 

  • Would like to try ballet for the first time or return to ballet, regardless of your previous experience. 
  • Are looking for a welcoming evening class outside of work hours. 
  • Enjoy learning or revisiting ballet technique and terminology. 
  • Would like a structured class with barre, centre work and repertoire, with options to suit different levels of experience. 
  • Want to develop strength, coordination, musicality and artistry while being guided by Queensland Ballet Teaching Artists. 

This class is designed for all levels of ballet experience. You don't need to have danced recently (or to remember everything you once knew!).

Adult Ballet for All Abilities (daytime class)

Wed 24 October - Wed 11 November, 10.00am | Duration: 60minutes

A gentle, inclusive class with seated, standing and adapted options available throughout. 

Adult Ballet for All Abilities is ideal if you: 

  • Have never tried ballet before.
  • Are returning to ballet or dance after an extended time away and would appreciate a re-introduction with extra support and care.
  • Prefer a class where seated, standing and adapted options are always available.
  • Would like a gentle, inclusive introduction to ballet in a supported environment. 

No prior dance experience is needed - just curiosity and a willingness to move at your own pace.

Ballet for Adults and Active Seniors (daytime class)

Wed 24 October - Wed 11 November, 11.30am | Duration: 1hr & 30minutes

A structured ballet class for those with some previous experience, with a focus on technique, strength, coordination and artistry. 

Ballet for Adults and Active Seniors is best suited if you: 

  • Have some previous ballet experience, even if it was many years ago.
  • Are familiar (or could recall with prompting) with some basic ballet terminology and technique.
  • Enjoy challenge and a more structured ballet class with barre, centre and repertoire.
  • Want to continue developing strength, coordination and artistry through ballet.
