Lovers of dance and music rejoice!
Kick back on the long hot summer Sundays with a three-hour program of big band swing classics. Relax in RPAC’s air conditioned Auditorium and take in the sights and sounds of the 13-piece Sweet Thunder Jazz Orchestra, returning to RPAC after their sold out 2021 concerts, to help us all swing into 2022.
Sundays are set to swing at RPAC with a three-hour blast of some of the world’s greatest swing tunes performed by the 13-piece titans of brass - Sweet Thunder Jazz Orchestra.
This polished and energetic orchestra is one of the best big band ensembles in south east Queensland. They will have you jumping and jiving your way through Sunday afternoons as they perform all your favourite big band tunes from the 1920s to the present day.
Their repertoire includes works by Ellington and Morton, and performances of the music of the great bands and their arrangers, such as Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Fletcher Henderson, Thad Jones and Neal Hefti. It also features some of today’s masters, such as John Clayton and Gordon Goodwin.
Gather your friends, put on your dancing shoes and join us for cold drinks and hot moves as RPAC comes alive with the glory of swing!
GUEST VOCALIST: JESS SPINA

“Blessed with the finest of instruments (at times angelic and pure and at others rich and full), her voice conveys sincerity, emotional honesty and joy” Kristin Berardi.
