A fantastic night of vintage swing performed by some of Australia’s finest jazz musicians and singers
Starring John Morrison’s Swing City Big Band
This big, bold and brassy concert spectacular will feature 15 Australian musicians. Among the band members will be two highly esteemed singers, Gregg Arthur and Jackie Cooper, and some of Sydney’s top instrumental jazz soloists. Leading the band will be musical director John Morrison, who is recognised as one of Australia’s leading jazz drummers, band leaders and educators.
You can look forward to all the greatest Big Band hits of the 1940s in a concert packed with the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Harry James, Benny Goodman and more!
This music is still recognised after 85 years... timeless icons of our culture. This will be a concert filled with nostalgia and lots of memories, recreating the golden era of swing.
