Due to the current international travel restricitions the performance of Herman's Hermits has been cancelled.

Showcase Entertainment Group and Herman’s Hermits have rescheduled their 2020 Herman’s Hermits featuring Mike Pender performance to 2021 and then 2022. Unfortunately with the ongoing uncertainty caused by COVID-19 and difficulties around international travel, they feel the best decision would be to cancel the tour.

The band, Showcase Entertainment Group and RPAC apologise for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation.

We look forward to welcoming Herman’s Hermits to the RPAC stage in the future, when they are able to travel more freely.

The RPAC Box Office will be in touch to process a full refund or credit for this performance.

_________

In 1966, when Herman’s Hermits first set foot on Australian soil, the ‘British Invasion’ was in full-swing and they were undoubtedly one of the most popular groups worldwide. Their string of popular hits such as ‘Mrs. Brown you’ve got a Lovely Daughter’, ‘No Milk Today’ and ‘I’m into Something Good’ were No. 1 hits on the Australian airwaves, and their first tour with Tom Jones in that year was a sellout success. In the past 55 years since Herman’s Hermits first toured our nation, they’ve been back over 40 times! Following the Covid-19 enforced break and observing the changing world we all live in, the band wanted to
come up with a new fresh way of entertaining their Australian fans that felt safe, fun, and easy for everyone to attend. The 2pm Matinee Special was borne.

The band were due to tour Australia in 2020 with friend and fellow 60’s star Mike Pender of The Searchers as a special guest but he will not be on the 2022 tour. What fans can expect is 2 hours of non-stop hits, in a show that will have you singing, clapping and maybe even tapping your foot, and you’ll be out the door in time to be home for tea!

Since 1971 and the departure of Peter Noone to pursue a solo career in the music  business, the group has never stopped. Original member Barry Whitwam has guided the band from strength to strength into one of the hardest working acts in the business – they still average more than 200 concerts per year. “It’s all about the songs”, Whitwam says, “and we were very lucky to have had a lot of hits in the sixties that people still want to hear today. We’re very lucky!”
