Where Technology Meets Theatre: A Show Like No Other

Step into the world of Alexa, Turn on the Lights, an innovative performance where human creativity and AI collide—technology that's sitting right next to you and is always listening.

Part TED talk, part couples therapy, Alexa, Turn on the Lights is a begrudging duet between performer and creator Jacob Watton and an Amazon Alexa smart home device!

With wit, empathy, and raw emotion, Watton examines our reliance on technology to bridge human connection. This intimate, interactive show features bespoke programming that allows Alexa to actively respond and shape each performance in real time, meaning that no two shows are alike.

Enjoy a joyous night of improvised comedy and theatre as the Jacob Watton shines a light on how technology often falls short of fulfilling our need for connection.

Critics call it "bite-sized, intimate theatre at its best", with no two shows alike, it’s a must-see experience that will leave you questioning how far technology can go in understanding what it means to be human.

Don't rely on technology to connect—head to RPAC and experience this show in person! Described as "illuminating, dynamic, really original, and refreshing", it will leave you feeling "connected" and "joyous"!
