Access and Special Assistance
Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) offers a number of access and special assistance initiatives including:
Induction Loop Hearing Assistance System
RPAC provides an Induction Loop Hearing Assistance system in the Concert Hall for patrons who require hearing assistance. Headset receivers are available for collection prior to the performance from the Box Office, or patrons can use their own hearing aids to access the system by switching them to the T position.
The Induction Loop Hearing Assistance System is available for all performances in The Concert Hall. Please book tickets via telephone or in person at the Box Office so that our staff can advise you on the best seating for picking up the Loop System, and so that they can book you a headset receiver if one is needed. Please allow extra time prior to the start of the performance to collect the receiver from the Box Office.
The Box Office is also fitted with a hearing loop system.
If you have mobility difficulties please contact Redland Performing Arts Centre Box Office so we can accommodate your needs. Please let us know if you need to:
• access seating at the end of a row,
• if you need to avoid stairs, or
• if you need to remain seated in a wheelchair.
If you have any of the above requirements please book tickets via RPAC Box Office by phone, on 3829 8131, or in person. We keep special seats aside specifically for those people with mobility difficulties and disabilities. These seats are subject to availability. These seats are not available online.
There is lift access to the balcony in The Concert Hall. Wheelchair seating can be provided on the upper and middle sections of The Concert Hall and can be accommodated in all other Centre venues.
There is a disabled toilet located in the Concert Hall foyer and in the Auditorium foyer.
There are two disabled parking spaces on Middle Street in front of Redland Performing Arts Centre. There are another two disabled parking spaces just to the left as you enter the patrons’ Car Park, which is located next to RPAC. Entry to the Car Park is at the very end of Middle Street.
There is also a curb side drop off point at the side of RPAC, located to the right just as you enter the patrons’ Car Park.
Guide dogs are welcome at RPAC.
