Redlands on Stage Sponsors
Principal Event Sponsor -
Alex Gow Funerals
Established in the convict days of 1840 by Queensland’s first free settler Andrew Petrie and known as Petrie’s Undertaking Establishment, the business passed through four sets of hands before being purchased by Alexander Gow in 1909.
As they move into their second century of business, Alex Gow Funerals continues to provide to the community the type of funeral care that they believe can only be offered by a family-owned company.
Alexander Gow’s grandson Alistair, with his son Brett and daughter Leigh today continue the “family owned” tradition established 170 years ago by Andrew Petrie.

Mayor's Message

I am delighted to welcome you to
Redlands on Stage which is now in its fourth successful year.
Our community identified the importance of performing arts to the culture, diversity, and enjoyment of the Redlands, through the
Redlands 2030 Community Plan consultations. Our 10-year cultural plan,
Our City Our Culture: A Cultural Plan for the Redlands 2008 -2018, also affirms the need to preserve our culture to strengthen our sense of community and foster a unique identity, while expressing our links to the past and dreams for the future.
Redlands on Stage enables us to promote talented artists, and raise valuable funds that support the development of Redlands’ performing arts groups and artists. All proceeds raised through ticket sales will be invested through the Redlands Arts Council and Redlands Eisteddfod for the benefit of the community.
This year’s performance showcases our finest home-grown talent and welcomes some visiting artists. These performers are set to captivate audiences through an enjoyable program of entertainment with music, song and dance.
Over the years, we have continued to make improvements to this event, which have raised its profile as a fundraiser, and enabled us to provide an impressive, quality performance for our many loyal supporters.
I’d like to pay tribute to all those involved in supporting, organising and performing in this year’s event.
I thank all of the businesses who have provided very generous sponsorship; the Redlands Arts Council, Redlands Eisteddfod and RPAC for their help coordinating the event; and the talented local and visiting artists who kindly accepted our invitation to perform for you.
And finally, I’d like to thank you - our audience - for joining us for the concert. I hope these fabulous acts will entertain and enthral you, and leave you feeling inspired and ever proud to be part of the Redlands community. Without your continued support, this show wouldn’t be possible.
Melva E Hobson PSM
Mayor of Redland City
