Presenter:
Redland Performing Arts Centre Musical Melodies Concert Series
Description:

PLEASE NOTE: This performance replaces the Darren Coggan's Campfire performance which is unable to take place due to current border restrictions.

___________

It was the war that generated some of the 20th Century’s most iconic pop, folk, soul and rock songs. The music of a generation who stood on the precipice of massive change! These were the songs of hope, courage, love, loss, anger, and resistance … most of all, these were the songs of connection.

This was a generation defined by its music: The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Aretha, Elvis, James Brown, Jimmy Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash and Peter, Paul and Mary … the list goes on, just like the beat!

Good Morning Vietnam – Music from the Vietnam War Era features the most iconic songs from the '60s and early '70s, including Fortunate Son, We Gotta Get Out of This Place, For What It’s Worth, These Boots Are Made For Walkin’, Ring of Fire, Purple Haze, My Girl, Proud Mary, Leaving on a Jet Plane and so many more!

The show is brought to you by Melly Melody (Sentimental Journey - Celebrating Doris Day) and features a rocking on-stage live band and incredible vocalists, together with images and stories.

Come and relive the music of a generation, as you sing along to every iconic song!
