A monstrous afternoon of music in support of a good cause
Join us for an evening of spectacular music for a great cause when the South of the River Community Band, alongside friends and special guests, including Redland City Choir, present a spine-tingling program inspired by menacing creatures and tales of folklore. Highlights include Whitacre’s Godzilla Eats Las Vegas!, Sparke’s Year of the Dragon, works by Grainger and Tchaikovsky, along with some colossal movie music by John Williams.
South of the River Community Band are delighted to welcome back guest conductor and local music legend, Mr Philip Davis alongside our very own Musical Director, Mr Jacob Cavanough, to champion our forces on their quest.
All profits and donations from this concert will go to The Indigenous Literacy Foundation to reduce the disadvantage experienced by children in remote Indigenous communities across Australia.
