Redland Performing Arts Centre

​Continuing from last year’s Australian Film Series, we will celebrate some blockbuster films that have scenes filmed locally on Redlands Coast, in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast.

For each of the films you can have a sneak peek at some of the locations used for the productions before the film. You can then try to spot some of our stunning local areas as you enjoy your film.

Thor is imprisoned on the planet Sakaar and must race against time to return to Asgard and stop Ragnarök, the destruction of his world, at the hands of the powerful and ruthless villain HelaStarring Chris Hemsworth & Cate  Blanchett.

The Railway Man tells the extraordinary and epic true story of Eric Lomax, A former British Army officer, who was tortured as a prisoner  of  war  during  World  War  II.  He discovers that the Japanese interpreter who tortured him is still alive and he sets out to confront  the  man  who  caused  him  so  much pain. Starring Colin Firth & Nicole Kidman

The much-loved Australian comedy about a small-town girl, who didn’t fit in, but is about to  learn  how  to  stand  out.  Follow  Muriel’s journey of self-discovery and liberation, when she befriends the carefree Rhonda, who encourages her  to  take  control  of  her  life. 
Starring Toni Collette and Rachel Griffiths.
