Caruso to Carreras: The hits and lives of the greatest tenors
Following their sell-out performance of Lanza Sings Again in 2017, Promac Productions bring their new show Caruso to Carreras - The Great Tenors to the RPAC stage. Starring Roy Best, Alison Jones, Chris McKenna and accompanied by Len Vorster on the piano, this will be an incredible display of vocal talent.
One of Australia’s finest tenors, Roy Best, will be at the helm performing many of the classic hits from Pavarotti, Bocelli, Lanza, Domingo, and of course Enrico Caruso and José Carreras. Roy Best has recorded albums for ABC Classics, performed in lead roles with Opera Australia and Victorian Opera, and is currently a guest soloist with the Australian Pops Orchestra.
Every Tenor has a leading lady, and in this performance, it is one of the country’s most versatile sopranos, Alison Jones who will lend her talent to a number of beautiful solos and duets. Crowd favourite, Chris McKenna as narrator and compère, will guide the audience through the fascinating stories of the greatest Tenors the world has ever known. Accompanying this great singing and storytelling will be concert pianist and virtuoso Len Vorster at the piano.
Featuring classic hits Nessun Dorma, O Sole Mio, Granada, Time to Say Goodbye, Amigos Para Siempre, Be My Love, Stranger in Paradise, La Donna è Mobile, Loveliest Night of the Year and many more, this will be a morning of captivating music not to be missed.
