Our two young soloists perform classical solos, and the orchestra celebrates the uniquely vibrant sounds of Latin American tango music. Other Americans join the fun with Leroy Anderson’s Blue Tango and the Cell Block Tango from Chicago.
The grand finale to our concert season is the amazing Danzon No 2 by Mexican composer Arturo Marquez, which was popularized by the Orquesta Sinfonica Simon Bolivar and has since taken the world by storm.
