To celebrate Redland Performing Arts Centre’s 10th Birthday we will be holding a birthday open day on Sunday 25 March. This will be your chance to see behind-the-scenes at RPAC as you go on a back stage tour of the areas not open to the public. These tours will be hosted by the RPAC Creative Arts Manager Zane Trow, who will give you a glimpse into the history of RPAC and what goes on in each of these areas during performances. From the control room, to the rehearsal spaces through to the chance to walk across the RPAC stage, this will be your opportunity to see a different side of RPAC.
You can also enjoy some of our in-residence groups in action at the open day. The Redland Sinfonia will give you a taste of some of their favourite orchestral pieces at 1pm during their open rehearsal, while the Redland City Choir will lift your spirits with their choral recital and sing along at 3pm. Children (and those young at heart) can also enjoy clowning workshops with indelabilityarts, or you can get creative with craft and music activities, including the opportunity to make your own wood artwork with Chez Beuvardia. Alternatively, you can sit back and relax as our face painter makes your face a fun piece of art on the day.
No bookings are required. Just come along and join us for this celebration of 10 years of entertaining local Redlanders.
