Join Southern Cross Soloists for an adventure through a world of miniatures, in an exploration of masterworks from the great romantic composers.
From Beethoven’s magnificent 2nd Symphony (arranged by Beethoven himself for chamber ensemble) to the stunning beauty of Massenet and Schumann, the concert will culminate in the fun and virtuosic Saint-Saëns Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso reinvented for the wind soloists of Southern Cross Soloists. The Soloists will also present the Queensland premiere of Entr’acte, an exciting new work for clarinet and cello by Perth-based composer, Chris Tonkin.
