After their sell-out performance of Look Mum … No Hands!!! in 2016, indelabilityarts returns to RPAC with their Actors’ Gym workshop series.
indelabilityarts seeks to fill a gap within arts and disability service provision, by offering ongoing, skills-based training in the arts and creating professional artistic opportunities for community members with disabilities. Their workshop series provides skills development and training in the performing arts for community members who identify as having a disability.
The focus of the workshops is on the ‘actor inside all of us’ – each session comprises of actor training exercises and applied theatre techniques to develop participants' skills, knowledge, and confidence in theatre-making; while enhancing their social and communication skills, team work and relationships, and spatial and physical awareness.
The professional ensemble members from indelabilityarts take a leadership role within the workshops, mentoring participants, passing on their skills, and being positive role models within the class.
