KUNJIEL (CORROBOREE), Quandamooka Festival at Minjerribah
Presenter:
Quandamooka Festival
Description:

Kunjiel (Corroboree) celebrates the closing season of the Quandamooka Festival by bringing together Traditional and contemporary Indigenous dance, music and arts for a memorable day on the one dance ground.

Featuring  one of Australia’s finest contemporary artists, Xavier Rudd alongside emerging new talent including young Torres Strait Islander guitar virtuoso Chris Tamwoy, Quandamooka Country music star Adam James, plus more spoken-word artists, musicians and Indigenous and Islander dance groups to be announced.

This family-friendly, full day event will have children’s activities, market village, fresh local food, and much more.  Join us on Minjerribah, Stradbroke Island, as we, the Quandamooka People, host a full day of First Nations dancing, a great night of music, and bring many communities together on our Traditional homelands to celebrate together – the country, culture and people of the Quandamooka region.
